One of the stranger football stories of 2020 popped up recently when former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Cheap Adam Jones Jersey posted a video on social media that featured him burning jerseys in his driveway.

Jerseys belonging to Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joe Haden.

At the time, Jones said he didn’t know who sent him the Steelers merchandise and Haden’s reps went as far as to say he had no involvement at all.

In a new interview with TMZ Sports, Jones says he’s linked up with Haden and suspects it was someone such as Joey Porter who sent him the jerseys:

“I don’t think Joe sent them after I talked to Joe—so, I don’t have no problem with Joe,” he said. “But I do think somebody over there in that ballpark or whatever they doing over there, (expletive), that somebody from over there sent them. I wouldn’t even be surprised if Joey Porter sent them.”

Jones and Porter, of course, go way back to that now-infamous Bengals-Steelers playoff game. Fans of both teams surely remember it well — Cincinnati ended up losing a winnable game, in part due to Porter, a coach at the time, serving as an instigator on the field and Pacman and others losing their cool.

We probably won’t ever know who sent Pacman the Steelers jerseys. Well, maybe.

Alabama’s high schools and colleges haven’t produced a lot of NFL kickers when compared to the number of pro cornerbacks and running backs who have come out of the state. But of the 10 players with Alabama football roots who have scored the most NFL points, only three got there without putting foot to football.

The top two — both former Auburn kickers — are among the 62 players in NFL history with at least 1,000 points. Cheap Al Del Greco Jersey ranks 22nd in NFL history with 1,584 points, and Cheap Rob Bironas Jersey ranks 60th with 1,032.

The closest active player to the state top 10 is Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram (Alabama), who is No. 12 on the list with 430 points. Cody Parkey (Auburn) is between Ingram and the top 10 with 460 points, but he is not on a current NFL roster, although he kicked in three games for the Tennessee Titans in 2019.
